Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing Aussie App Developers. We provide custom, intangible services (app development, mobile solutions, web development, UI/UX design, etc.). Because of the professional nature of our work, refunds are managed to ensure fairness to our clients while protecting our development resources. By engaging our services, you (“Client”) agree to the terms below.

1. Scope & Applicability

This policy applies to all services provided by Aussie App Developers, including but not limited to iOS/Android development, web applications, custom software, and digital branding.

  • This policy is supplemental to your signed Service Agreement or Statement of Work. In the event of a conflict, the terms of the specific project contract take precedence.

2. Cancellation & Termination

Client-Initiated Cancellation

  • If the Client cancels before any meaningful development or discovery work has begun, we may refund amounts paid, less administrative costs or committed third-party fees.

  • If the Client cancels after development has commenced, the Client is responsible for payment for all milestones completed, resources allocated, and overhead costs. Any remaining balance may be refunded or credited at our discretion.

Agency-Initiated Cancellation

  • Should we cancel a project, we will refund payments for the undelivered portions of the work after deducting documented costs incurred up to the date of cancellation.

Recurring & Maintenance Services

  • Clients must provide 30 days’ written notice to terminate recurring services (e.g., app maintenance, hosting, or support retainers).

  • Payments for the current month of cancellation are non-refundable.

3. Refund Conditions & Exceptions

We may consider refunds or partial adjustments only if:

  • We materially fail to deliver the agreed technical scope of work, and after a written notice and a reasonable “cure period,” we fail to remedy the issue.

  • There is a demonstrable accounting error or duplicate billing on our part.

We may refuse or limit a refund if:

  • The Client delayed or failed to provide required assets (API keys, content, feedback, approvals) that hindered development.

  • Issues resulted from scope creep or new requirements initiated by the Client.

  • The application or code has already been deployed to a production environment, published to App Stores, or formally accepted.

4. Calculation & Method of Refund

If a refund is approved, the amount is calculated by subtracting:

  • Costs already incurred (developer hours, subcontractor fees).

  • Third-party expenses (server fees, software licenses, stock assets).

  • Reasonable administrative fees.

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days via the original payment method. We reserve the right to deduct processing or transaction fees from the final refund amount.

5. Claim Notification & Deadlines

The Client must submit any refund or adjustment request in writing within 15 calendar days of receiving a specific milestone or deliverable. After this period, the deliverable is deemed accepted and the right to claim expires.

6. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

  • For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

  • This policy is intended to supplement, not replace, your statutory rights under Australian law.

7. Force Majeure

Aussie App Developers is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g., internet outages, third-party API failures, App Store downtime). In such cases, refunds may be limited in accordance with the project contract.
